Joelle Goncalves first studied the art of flamenco dance with Flamenco Arts in Santa Rosa, and later broadened her studies with Spanish flamenco maestro, Jose Galvan. She has also taken several intensive workshops with other well-know artists such as Joaquin Ruiz, Angel Munoz, La Tania, Antonio Granjeros and Julia Chacon.

In 2003 she traveled to Spain to receive private instruction from Jose Galvan and returned to the States to continue her dance studies with local professionals such as Phoebe Vernier, Yaelisa, Carola Zertuche and flamenco singing with Jaime Del Rio..

Joelle is currently a board member of non-profit organization, Flamenco Universal . She teaches flamenco dance classes at two locations in Santa Rosa (see our classes link) and privately at her studio.
